I have finished Cyberpunk but I will not have a review up today as I could not comply with CDPR"s embargo requirement that prohibited us from using our own recorded gameplay in the review. Instead, we were told to use b-roll, which is basically trailer footage. Reviews should not be vehicles for rolling out more marketing material, so I'll put my review up when I'm able to show you the reality of the game with my own footage. I'm also disappointed that no console review code was provided to any outlet... Console games are often reviewed without their day one or even day zero patches, so Cyberpunk would not have been special in this regard. Its really lame that no reviewer can tell you how this game runs on console on the review embargo. I absolutely love this game and I think CDPR did extraordinary work, but its clearly unfinished at this point and no review relying on trailer footage alone can properly convey that.
The minimum GPU listed is a GTX 780, with GTX 1060 6GB recommended for 1080p high, RTX 2060 for 1440p ultra, and an RTX 2080 Super for 4K ultra. Then there's the ray tracing additions, with the RTX 2060 listed as the minimum for 1080p and RT medium, 3070 for 1440p and RT ultra, and 3080 for 4K RT ultra. Based on what we're seeing, it looks like those recommendations are for 30-40 fps.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the ultimate power fantasy. A video game that takes the best of modern RPG, first-person shooter, stealth, and the open world and masterfully blends it into a single product. If Skyrim and GTA V marked a before and after for their genres at the beginning of the 2010s, Cyberpunk 2077 is called to do the same from this 2020.
The game may not be perfect but given CD project Red's reputation for fixing and updating games Cyberpunk has a bright neon-lit future. It can proudly sit among its influences of Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner and Neuromancer (as well as games like Deus Ex, System Shock) with its augmented head held high. It's been a long wait, but the end result is a massive sprawling RPG with an incredible story, heart-pounding action, solid mechanics and customisation, offering you unparalleled player choice in a deep, atmospheric world that I can't wait to plug myself back into.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a victim of bloat, but you can choose to ignore a lot of it and take in the sights. That's where Night City is at its best, and I sincerely suggest that you take your time going through it, as rushing will only lead to disappointment. Even just strolling through though though, you'll probably be left wanting more.
We could wax lyrical about how good this game is for another ten years, and we still think the conversation would be relevant - so yes, we think Cyberpunk 2077 is the game of the decade. This is an event, and a big moment in gaming, because the brilliant Cyberpunk 2077 is laying down the stepping stones for greater feats in the future.
CD Projekt RED is willing to take an even bigger risk and dare something very different, combining elements that they have proven to know well and elements which they have no previous experience in.
And it is precisely for this reason that, despite all the technical problems of the production, we cannot in any way fail to assign a vote of excellence to the work of CDPR: the defects will disappear over time, but already now Cyberpunk 2077 is a title which undoubtedly deserves a place of honor in all players' library.
Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsequences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
Cyberpunk 2077 proves that the developers have improved their skills since fantastic The Witcher 3. It is an excellent action RPG that would benefit from a longer delay to polish the various issues. However, no amount of bugs can diminish the immense pleasure of exploring this world.
The era of the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X has arrived, but Cyberpunk 2077 is currently running on those next-gen platforms via backwards compatibility. A true next-gen update isn't due until sometime in 2021. That means CD Projekt Red developed a game for three platforms, and it's running on an acceptable level on just one (PC), provided you have the hardware. That is just plain ridiculous.
It's definitely feels like with Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt RED tried to tell a really meaningful story, while using as a backdrop truly a unique setting. And all the while the developers made sure that the game still feels approachable by all kind of people, and that it presents itself with insane graphical fidelity painting an image of an eerily realistic world of tommorow. We doubt there's too many people who don't believe in CD Projekt RED, but in case you're one of them, be warned - Cyberpunk 2077 is something that will change the way you look at the gaming industry as a whole.
This is an outstanding and highly enjoyable game, but take your time with it, do all the side missions (think of them as extensions of the main quest, in fact) and don’t rush the main storyline. You should absolutely take the earliest available opportunity to explore Night City and everything it has to offer. From the visuals to the music to the vibe, it’s a superb experience and one I am looking forward to spending a lot more time with.
Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t perfect, but it is ambitious. It marries a gripping story with a huge open world absolutely dripping with atmosphere; one in which, after fifty hours of gameplay, I still feel like I’ve only scratched its surface. Even now I’m itching to jump back in and complete yet more side jobs, not only because they’re enjoyable, but also just in case they offer V more options when it comes to ending their story.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a new masterpiece from CD Projekt RED, a huge, dense, vibrant, colorfoul and dark Sci-Fi RPG that any fan of the genre should step in. First because it will provide the sensation that the story really depends on you choices and that you have everything you need for your playstyle. Then because streets, stores, buildings, inhabitants of Night City won't get out of your head easily. You'll be happy to interact with Keanu Reeves, but the real star is this city and all it provides in terms of atmosphere, game mechanics and stories. Cyberpunk 2077 is the cyberpunk game of my dreams, it provides one of the most highly detailed environments I’ve ever seen, with an incredibly expansive and immersive narrative.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a great game, but it could have been an incredible game that defined a generation. Instead, it falls victim to its own ambition and the industry's constant desire to push, push, push it out. In its current state, it's not for the faint of heart, and even hardcore Cyberpunk fans may struggle to stay interested amidst all the crashes and issues. If you have yet to pick it up, wait a few months and you could very well be treated to the experience we were all hoping for at launch.
Although there still exist a lot of technical glitches, Cyberpunk 2077 stands out in terms of cyberpunk concept, story-telling, characters, level-design, combat, and so forth. It's a pleasure to spend hundreds of hours in the Night City, and I believe it would be one of the greatest open-world RPGs in the next decade.
The dark future certainly looks promising, thanks to the collective imagination of the team at CD Projekt Red, which seems to know no bounds. Cyberpunk 2077 certainly took a while to come to our hands, but be glad it’s finally here, for it is here to stay for a long time to come. And it certainly did not disappoint.

Engaging and marvellous to play, Night City on high-end PCs is stunning to see and super stylish. Cyberpunk 2077 is worth the wait, because the adventure of V and Johnny Silverhand is greater than the sum of its parts.

Conversely, they bind you in places where it is important. Everything fits together thanks to that. And if you were afraid that Cyberpunk 2077 would be a debacle. Throw this worry behind your head. I haven’t fallen in love with playing Cyberpunk 2077, but I haven’t loathed it either. Some moments have been exciting or moving, while others have just felt like stuff to do.

We're still playing Cyberpunk 2077 in order to bring you a finished review, but it's impossible to recommend picking this game up at launch on PS4 or PS4 Pro. On PS5 via backwards compatibility, there's still fun to be had - a glimpse of the game's excellent potential - but even then, it's crippled by bugs and crashing issues. There's something truly special at the core of Cyberpunk 2077, but in its current state, it's simply not good enough. So far, a colossal disappointment.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a wild journey within an incredibly fascinating setting; some technical uncertainties destined to disappear and a partial repetitiveness limit its glory, but overall it is an adventure worthy of William Gibson himself. Cyberpunk 2077 allowed me to finally feel immersed in that pen & paper RPG I discovered in 1988, pouring rain clouding my view in a kaleidoscope of neon signs, just as I had imagined while leafing through those pages. Some may not consider it a perfect game, but I do.
I’m V and the game is Silverhand - I can’t get Cyberpunk 2077 out of my head. I’ve had it a week and played 70 hours, which is probably about as healthy as scooping out my face and replacing it with electronics, but it didn’t feel like work. Like a digital personality loaded onto a biochip, it felt like stepping into another life for a while. It’s a life I can’t wait to relive.

It may not sound like it, but I enjoyed many aspects of Cyberpunk 2077. It doesn't hit the highs of The Witcher 3, but it still has a lot going for it. However, it was released in such an unfinished state that it's hard to give it a positive review. It's an 8.0 game hiding in a 4.0 game wrapper. I might change my tune in a few months, when patches have rolled out, but even when playing the best version available on the PlayStation systems, there's no getting around it: Cyberpunk 2077 might have been mocked for its delays, but it needed more of them. You'll still have fun if you pick it up now, but unless you're dying for it, it's best to wait until it's been patched and improved.
My Dissapointments and opinions on how Blizzard is treating OW this past year and a half, and what would i do to improve it
First of all let me introduce myself, im a Spanish Offtank player with a peak of 4500 who achieved Contenders Trials at the beggining of 2020 along with my teammates, i want to point that to let you know im way above the average user, and as somehow who spent the last 3 years competing on this game, my opinión might be more valuable than others (Sounds kinda yikes, but we can all agree that the opinion of an OWL player is more valuable than a gold player, so this is kinda the same but at different levels) So im writing this because im sick of this game, so instead of crying, which is all i do in generall, imma do this and hope someone from blizzard sees it, where im gonna give contructive opinions and things they could improve.
· Path to Pro and Tournaments
To begin with, there is no reward on going pro, people have to take it as a full time job, just to get not enough money even to live in prison conditions, you can see on twitter that half of contenders players are just moving onto Boosting, Valorant or IRL stuff, just because of that, there are almost no orgs in contenders, why? Sponsors, Blizzard acts so hard about sponsors in contenders/trials, they have cocacola as sponsor, so if you have any drink company as sponsor (Monster, redbull…) well guess what, you cannot play under that sponsorship, so companies will not pay a team to dont represent them. So with no orgs, there cannot be big names out there, thats why contenders has such a low viewership, even with the contenders skins thing, which lasted like 2 days, because who wants to stay afk for 7h watching a stream to get a Symmetra contenders skin… No one. Also what the fuck happened with SA and PAC contenders? How is it possible that they dropped those two? PAC was like second division of chinese contenders yeah, but whats wrong with that? More regions equals more pros, more pros equals more people in OWL…
· Rewarding “yikes players”
For he last years, there have been a lot of changes that helped bad players, throwers, clients, etc. Beggining with the private profile, back in the time you could just open someones profile and watch whatever, “Oh the enemy team have a junk and pharah main, lets play long range hitscans”, “Oh this person dropped 1000 sr in one season, he might be a bought account…” having someone that bought an account, aquired a boost or whatever being, able to hide is just shit, yet some of those are that Smart that dont pur their profile on private, and you see a dude in platinum inting with an account that was 4300 last season, but guess what blizzard does not care. Smurfs, why would someone play on their main? There is no reward at all to do that, Skins? Already have all of them, gold guns? Worthless, in my opinion there should be a season pass like in Forntnite, Apex or some other games, rewarding people to play on their main, but smurfing gives you joy destroying games for people in lower ranks than you, hides your identity, so you can be super toxic, and you will not get banned, will explay why now. Lets talk about bans, (This only affects at gameplay sabotage or abusive chat, not to cheaters) As easy as just getting banned once you recieve ciertain number of reports, so for example, if you drop the N Word once, nothing happens, because you need at least 20 reports, so you are free to do whatever you want before getting a mute or ban, which ends up on a 10h mute or some worthless shit. Now comes the ontricking, how is it possible that in a game with more than 30 heroes someone wants to play only one hero, regardless of the game situation? Even if you get hard countered. You wanna do it in QP? Ok, arcade? Ok, but brother, competitive is competitive, you play to win, and adapting to situations and enemy team compositions its a basic thing, don’t stick onto a hero.
· MMR resets and drastical meta shifts
Carter already talked about this, lets put as an example, a diamond Orisa player, double shield meta comes, he ranks up to 4200, meta changes, his main hero is now shit, but guess what, since there are no resets between seasons or anything, he will not drop, because on the enemy team the chances that there is someone in the same situation are so high, so one Will win, the other will lose, so in average the person will stay in the same SR, even withouth deserving it. Also, the 3900 placements cap cannot be more shit, without reseting MMR, its literally worthless, the only thing it does is matching on the same game poeple that is 4500 with diamonds, also, as a personal experience, i managed to rank from 3900 to 4300 last season, with negative winrate, so imagine how shit that is, NEGATIVE WINRATE AND 400SR UP.
· Boosting, new accounts & account selling
So there is basically no control over that, and an incentive to do it, is getting 0 money because there are no open tournaments, maybe 1 or 2 per year, which is, of course, not enough Also there is no control over that, someone from EU can boost an account of someone from NA and nothing happens, come on blizzard, if a platinum US account, suddently gets logged in Sweden, ranks up 500sr, and then it logs back to the owner’s country... Come on blizzard, just check a bit the IP’s and thats it, the feature already exists in the security page of your battlenet account. Also another shit reason to do that, is that blizzard gifted 100.000k accounts for free, with the Gladiators and Toronto thing, come one man, now you rank up for a ranked game, and 10 out of the 12 players of the lobby are smurfs, and 8 out of that 10 are fresh accounts, that of course, the matchmaking cannot take control over that, so thats why MM is so bad.
· Events & Content
Well thats it, there is no fresh content, an event comes, and no one cares, people log in, buy the skins and logs off to continue smurfing.
· Balancing
On this point is just a meme that blizzard nerfed Hog and Genji ( 2 skill héroes ) after 1-2 weeks of being OP, but does not manage to blanace brig after 2 years of constant nerfs, this was already explained by Samito, if you nerf the numbers, but not the concept, the ability/hero will remain OP, same with Ball, Nerfing the shield so he has 800hp instead of 900 is just absurd, since the hero can fucking run faster than a bullet. Patches are useless, irrelevant, back in the time there was complete hero reworks, ability reworks, NEW HEROES, drastical nerfs/buffs, but now theres this, shitty experimental patches that nerf 0.1 damage into one hero and thats it, well done blizzard.
· Competitive seasons
What season are we in, 28? 26? Doesnt matter, its literally irrelevant, seasons are too short and nothing differeniciates one season with the next one, in my opinion a good thing to improve that, would be making 3 seasons per year of 4 months each, with competitive rewards, and fresh things, so people would have an incentive to play on main accounts, which of course, the more main accounts are in a lobby, the better, since matchmaking is more balanced, people care about their main acc and all those things.
· Cheating
Half of the games there is at least one person cheating, its not even worth anymore to draw, I havent draw a lot of games, because if i do i would be afk 3 games per day, which is one hour. How is it possible that someone rage hacks in one game, where everyone sees hes blatantly aimbotting, everyone reports that person, and doesn’t get banned? It doesnt fit on my mind, blizzard made us lose GamerDoc, a dude that was giving his life onto anti cheats and things, what happend? Since blizzard just ignored, he left for Valorant and he got hired by Riot, they saw someone doing a pretty good job, and they hired him, now they have an anti cheat 10 times better than us. Also in the strange case that blizzard bans someone for cheating, remove/give back those points that were aquired/los ton that game…
· Toxicity and frustration

And as a final fact here, how is it possible that on GM you can only duo with people -+ SR ahead of you, but you get games with people 500sr lower… It just makes no sense, if you dont let me duo with someone, dont put it in the same game. · Queue times, playerbase, splitting gamemodes
Queue times are so high in all modes, why? There are too much modes, the clearest example could be the junkestein event, there used to be 2 modes, and 3 difficulties each, now when the event comes, there are 5 modes, with difficulties, which means the players are too split, for no reason, i would do the modes be random. A good thing that i would do, that probably is kinda difficult to implement to boost playerbase drastically, is crossplay, in all gamemodes but competitive. Queue times for casual gamemodes would be much lower, also it allows you to play with people that doesnt have a PC, how many times have you talked with someone in class, you both played the same game but you played on PC and your friend on PS4/Xbox, so you couldnt play together?
· OW Excuse
So its been more than a year where blizzard is not doing a shit with the excuse of ow 2, no events, no balancing, no nothing, the game has been the same shit for more than a year. TRANSPARENCY MAN, what is happening there, show is something, we dont know anything of OW 2, give people hype, because withouth knowing anything, people is just leaving. Also there is the rumor that OW2 Demo in blizzcon was made in a month or so, if you look at gameplay, all looks kinda scuffed…
Accuse me of stealing - I'll ruin your business and life
This little story of revenge is about how I got even with a former boss, and how I destroyed his and his business partner's life in the process. Many years ago I worked at an electronics repair store that will not be named. It was the only one in our smallish town so everyone came there. I worked my way up from lowly tech to store manager in roughly six months. A few months after I made store manager, one of the owners who we will call Dennis, insisted on bringing his nephew in as a part-time employee. Don't get ahead of me redditers! I initially didn't have any issues with the kid, he had come to the store on multiple occasions and we would all sit around in the back and talk. So again, I had no issues with bringing him on part-time. For a good month or two, the kid who we will call Kevin busted his behind, did everything right, he could solder an HDMI port on a PS4 in minutes (one less thing for me to do). Profits for the store were skyrocketing and things seemed rather fine from where I was standing, I was due to make a fairly large bonus that year as long as the store kept turning the amount of money it was turning. I figured at this time, we could make Kevin our assistant manager and I could go back to doing paper work, inventory orders and such and leave the running of things to him. Well, mistakes were definitely made. I had a bad habit of writing down my login pin because Dennis and his business partner Jay were idiots and wanted the pin to be 9347893247349 digits long. These pins were required to access everything from sales data, to the cash register and more. Anyway, around the time that I was turning over the majority of stuff to Kevin to do, I also started taking classes at the local university, so again, me being the idiot that I was would leave to go to class before coming back and finishing my shift. Dennis and Jay were fine with this as long as I left someone competent in charge. Fast forward to the end of the month when accounts receivable numbers were run. And wouldn't you know it, we were short. By thousands that month. I discussed everything with Dennis and Jay and we assumed it was a computer glitch. There was no way after almost a year of working there that the numbers were off. I had never had this happen before. The next month we were once again off. It was around this time that Dennis and Jay came to me and started accusing me of stealing from them. They pointed out all of the days that the numbers didn't match up and saw that I was always closing that night. When I tried to explain to them that I was in class on those days when the money came up missing and suggested that they look at Kevin, Dennis blew his top. He said how dare I accuse his nephew of anything, that it was my pin used to access the register, etc. Needless to say, I was fired, luckily they didn't call the cop because in Jay's words, I had made them a boatload of money. Plan: A couple of years had passed since I was working there, I graduated college with a degree in Business and had moved on with my life or so I thought. One night while I was out at the store, I heard from behind me "Yo thief!", as I turn around I see Kevin and Dennis with a sh-t-eating grin on their faces. I shrug it off, and walk away continuing to hear their childish taunts. While in my car, I began to formulate a plan. I was going to crush these mother f--kers no matter how long it took. It took me two months of planning but finally I figured that I would use my social engineering skills and my business savvy to completely crash their business. I broke the HDMI port on my PS4 on purpose and took it into have it fixed. Kevin and a girl that had started there a few weeks earlier were the only two working. Kevin: Hey welcome to such and such, oh, it's you thief, what can I help you with? Me: First off you can stop calling me that, you and I both know it's bullsh-t. Kevin: Sorry dude, Dennis told me to call you that. I'm sorry how everything went down. What can I help you with? Me: My HDMI port broke, do you guys still repair them? Kevin: Yeah we still repair them, it's $115 Me: Damn you guys went up in price? Good on you, so, how's everything been since I left? Kevin: You mean since you were fired for stealing? Me: Yeah, whatever, we both know that's bullsh-t. I knew Kevin was trying to impress the girl, but, didn't care at that minute. We'll come back to her. As I glanced around I saw that they had added some new things to the store, including Otterbox cases and such. Me: Whoa, that's new! How did you guys manage to get in with Otterbox? Since they were the only game in town they had everyone by the balls. After the work was finished I said goodbye and made sure to wave to the girl as I walked out. This is when my plan really went into motion, I had everything I needed to crush these mother f--kers. All except a building, the next day I looked around for a location to begin to dismantle their monopolistic hold on the town. As luck would have it a location right across the street from their store was coming up for rent. I quickly signed the lease and began to distribute flyers letting the town know about our coming grand opening on the flyer I was offering 90% off the first repair, basically I was doing the work for free just all they had to do was pay the part price. Opening day comes and I have 60 people there to get repairs. Ranging from iPhone screen repairs, to simple pc tune ups. This went on like this for months, sure I was taking a loss on the building rent, but this being a smallish town, the rent was easily manageable. After things started to settle down and business became steady, Dennis and Jay started losing massive business due to the new guy in town. (They still hadn't realized it was me), Jane walked in as I was closing up shop, Jane if you recall was the girl who worked for Dennis that Kevin was trying to hit on, apparently she had been let go that night and was looking for another job. I immediately gave her the job, because she knew her sh-t. I asked her what all happened over there, and she said everything has gone to sh-t and that the store has been losing tens of thousands since this place opened and that she would have left sooner if she didn't need the job. Kevin apparently really liked her and couldn't keep his hands to himself. A month after Jane came in, Dennis and Jay came in to see who their new comp was. As they walked in I greeted them as I do any customer. Me: Welcome to new guys electronic repair, how can I help you? Dennis: Does the owner know he hired a thief? Looking at Dennis. Me: Yep, and yours as well, you had a chance to stick up for me and didn't. If I can't assist you gentlemen with a repair or anything, I kindly ask that you leave my store. Dennis: F--k you, you haven't heard the end of us. This quite literally cracked me up, the dude trying to talk tough. I laughed as they stormed out of my store. About this time, Jane came from out of the back area, and dropped her phone. I bent down to pick it up and noticed that it was the fake Otterboxes that the other store was selling. I made an anonymous tip to Otterbox regarding them selling counterfeits. Boy, let me tell you, Otterbox doesn't f--king play. Within a week the other store was raided, Kevin, Dennis and Jay were all arrested for selling counterfeit items and were sued into bankruptcy. As for Jane and I, well, we just welcomed out first child into the world and have been married for a year and half. I am beyond hyped for Cyberpunk, it's preloaded from GOG, just teasing me with that play button that works. Regardless if you are a die hard fan or not, the way that reviews have been handled by the media is misguided, and the way that CD Projekt Red handled it is downright deceitful.

No console copies were sent out for review
In the latest trailer published yesterday, the trailer published two weeks ago, and even trailers from 5 months ago. They all end with the same thing, "Pre-Order". They are actively marketing and asking for you to pre-order. Regardless of Day 0/1/2/3 patches, they are asking you to pre-order something that comes as a physical item for most people getting it. When Cyberpunk 2077 went gold, then they should have had the game in a state that it would be sent to reviewers. Instead from leaked footage. By leaked footage I mean that this is gameplay footage of the data that shipped with the physical copy for the Xbox, uploaded before release day. So if someone lives out in the sticks with barely good internet or do not have reliable access to the internet then that is the game they have. We can see that the game was not ready to ship, at all, period. Things need to change, this is one of the most hyped games I have ever seen, but I feel so many people on the PS4 and Xbox One are just being lied to and are set for disappointment. Some probably will be so disappointed that they will be in disbelief and think something else is wrong. Things need to change, even if it is an industry wide gentlemen's agreement.

It's just insane the amount of hype this game has with it's troubled development of being delayed three times, people working six day work weeks since September (with the game being delayed again during that period), reports of people looking physically ill making a video game. Attention CD Projekt Red: You owe those of us that bought your game on base PS4/XB1 an explanation.
Leading up to launch, CD Projekt Red went on record to say that Cyberpunk 2077 runs "surprisingly well" on base versions of Playstation 4 and Xbox One. This was reassuring news to those of us that haven't upgraded yet but were still looking forward a game that had been in development for the better part of a decade. In the midst of all that, The Witcher 3 was released and was regarded by many gamers as the best game of the entire generation. With one game, CDPR had gained the reputation of being one of the best developers in the gaming world. But in the week leading up to launch, we found out that the game had leaked early, as all games do. Reports began surfacing that the game ran horribly on the base PS4 and XB1. "Don't worry, the day 1 patch will address those issues" was the common response, and that's assuming that you didn't believe that someone claiming to have the game early was lying. And yet through all that time, CDPR flat-out refused to let ANY footage of last-gen versions of the game be shown. Why? Were they not confident? Would the game truly run as early owners claimed, or were those people lying/exaggerating? Well, Day 1 is officially upon us. We have the patch, we have the game, and we are INCREDIBLY let down by what we're seeing. Look, obviously the game won't look as good as it does on PC. No one expected that. Yes, we know the upgraded versions of last gen consoles and current gen will run games better than the base versions. But what we have here is insulting, and a slap in the face to all of us that haven't upgraded and trusted CD Projekt Red because of their reputation. Nothing about this game runs "surprisingly well." Hell, I'm surprised that the game ended up running WORSE than I expected based on reports from early owners. So here we are, with a game that struggles to maintain even 20 frames per second, blurry graphics that are hard on the eyes, and the pop-in is atrocious and immersion breaking. 30 minutes into the game I'd already caught the attention of law enforcement for crashing into a pedestrian that didn't even show up until about five seconds after I hit him. You know what it reminds me of? When I was on vacation, I brought my shitty laptop along with me and tried running games at below the minimum recommended PC settings. Of course they ran horribly. And yet that's the only thing that I can compare Cyberpunk 2077 on Playstation 4 with: A game that clearly wasn't designed with my outdated hardware in mind. Fine. So why didn't they TELL US instead of reassuring their entire fanbase that the game will run surprisingly well on our last-gen consoles after the day 1 patch? Hell, how about just don't release it on the older hardware if it can't run the game at an acceptable level? Sure, that decision would hurt their reputation. But you know what hurts their reputation even more? Promising us that the game would run fine on our older consoles, only for us to find out after buying the game that the optimization is terrible. I don't want to say that the game has the worst graphics on PS4/XB1, but it is one of the worst looking games on those consoles if that makes sense. What I mean by that is that the game's graphics are clearly good. That's the problem. Those consoles can't keep up with those graphics and so they run the game poorly instead, and it breaks any sense of immersion. That's what I mean when I say that it's one of the poorest looking games that I've seen in a while. That sucks, because clearly there is a good game buried underneath all of this crap... but it's just so damn hard to enjoy the good things when the game runs so terribly that it's distracting. CD Projekt Red, you clearly have a lot on your plate after this launch. Bugs are certainly an issue, and I'm sure those will be addressed. But what about those of us on last-gen consoles that paid full price for a game that doesn't run at anything close to an acceptable level? I'd really like to know what the developers plan to do about this. Is there even anything that they can do, or will the consoles forever be doomed to not play the game properly due to outdated hardware? We bought your product because we trusted you when you said that the game would run "surprisingly well" for us, and we've seen the exact opposite of that. You owe us an explanation, and we would really like to know what you plan to do for those of us that haven't upgraded consoles that expected you to deliver on your promise. I've tried being reasonable with my responses as to why we have every right to be disappointed, and it just isn't going anywhere. So you're free to keep calling people "idiots" for thinking that PS4 and XB1 versions would run well when CDPR told us that it would, but I'm done responding to it. Final note: This thread is getting some responses from gamers running Cyberpunk on a base PS4 or XB1 that don't have any gripes with the game. From the bottom of my heart I am honestly happy for you and hope that you continue to enjoy the experience. I never accused this of being a bad game, and I'm indeed still playing it myself despite what I consider to be immersion-breaking issues. There's fun to be had, and I'm hopeful that CDPR can get this thing running better so that we can all just shut up and enjoy this game. :)

I am not sure how much bigger the thread can be, I already typed this but it vanished so I think I'm at the limit. I will try to keep updating, but I don't expect the thread to be up top for much longer and will likely vanish soon, so if you need anything save it. Yes, it's hard, it sucks, it's depressing. It is something we all have to do if you want to see this virus go. Everyone knows the deal, too many think they're the exception but no one is. However, staying home is hard so maybe I can help at least one or two people with some incentives. I'll try to give links to some things that can help cure the boredom, and some support if you need it. Most of this might be obvious to some, some might not even have internet and of course, money is a big issue, so I'll try to give some suggestions: For streaming and on demand things such as Netflix et al, don't forget you can subscribe for free for your first month. This goes for most things in the list. If you are worried about putting in your payment details and forgetting to cancel a month later, don't worry! You can sign up and immediately cancel and you still get your free month! For people who don't have a smart TV, you can buy a cheap Amazon Fire TV stick or a Roku box. The Fire stick can go as low as £20 often for 1080p. It will drop to £30 for 4k. I picked up a 4k Roku device for £18 on Amazon once. It's fast and snappy. currently it's going for £33 for the 4k version. Having both, there is little difference between the devices. NowTV also do their own roku powered device. Subscription based streaming sites that all offer 2-4 weeks free for first timers

Amazon Prime You can either get Amazon video on its own, or take prime with other benefits. I strongly urge those who use Amazon for buying off their store front to use [https://smile.amazon.co.uk/] as there is literally no difference except everything you buy amazon donates to a charity of your choice.
Amazon channels. I believe you can get all these individually but Amazon offers them as channels bound to your prime account, and they are again either free for a couple weeks (again, take them, cancel instantly) or very cheap. I recently subscribed to Starzplay for £1 for 3 months. It has some good shows on it like Fringe, doom patrol. It also has channels like Curiosity stream and shudder
If you have not subscribed to the any of the above, you can get a few months of free TV by signing up and cancelling instantly. I suggest waiting at least 5 minutes just to let it go through the system. Some tips for Now TV. IF you already have a subscription, I've noticed you can get it cheaper by cancelling. When you cancel they will beg you to stay. Select "I can not afford it this month" and they should beg again, telling you what shows they have. If you say you still want to cancel, they'll beg one last time and offer you the subscription for cheaper. This won't work every month, but I've noticed they'll always offer it the first time, then again after a couple months. If you're subscribed to both films and entertainment do the most expensive one as it may not work both times (but it might!). You can also pick up passes from storefronts a lot cheaper sometimes, before I could pick one up on Amazon for £3 but, they seem to have cracked down on it. If you shop around (or if anyone knows of a legitimate store please let me know) you might be able to pick it up cheaper. Lastly, check their website and under your account they should have an "offers for you" section. Completely free TV
If you do have a smart TV and/or device, there are some good free streaming apps. One I really love is called PlutoTV. I know this is on both Roku and the fire stick, as well as Ps4/Ps5 and xbox. Pluto offers a bunch of live channels and now an on demand section, all for free. It has adverts but they are actually short (shorter than regular TV and fewer of them). Some of the channels are just streaming certain shows like Mythbusters 24/7 or Dog the bounty hunter, but it has a lot of old movie channels as well as 24/7 kickboxing and MMA. It also has a 24/7 poker channel I quite like. Another one I like is Rakuten Viki however, I haven't watched it for a while as my fire stick is only 1080p and I have too many other devices attached. I believe it is on Roku but you have to jump through some hoops and have an account. The last I checked on the fire stick you did not. Viki offers a metric ton of Asian shows, mainly from Japan and South Korea but it does have chinese, Malaysian etc. It has subtitles. Some Japanese shows are hysterical, albeit weird. Roku also do their own channels with free shows if you own a device. For those who don't have a smart TV or a Streaming device, you can set up your own computer as a dedicated streaming device with Plex. It's been a while since I used it but I believe it now also offers free movies and TV. Anime If you are into Anime there is
The first 2 are free to watch, or offer premium without ads which you can have a trial with. Crunchyroll is the better of the two with more original choice for Japanese voice and subs, while Funimation has more Dubs. I don't believe HiDive is free to watch but you do get a 2 week trial. These are more exclusives than the previous two. PC Centric software If you are a gamer or like Audiobooks or anything that uses computers for things like music making, programming or graphic design
Humble Bundle offers, as per the name, bundles. A long running site that got bought out by IGN. It offers both single items and bundles you can buy individually/as a pack while also offering a separate monthly subscription for around £8-9. The subscription gives you 12 games on average per month. That's the simplest explanation but it changes somewhat as sometimes you get to pick 10 out of 14 games, or get all 12. Humble bundle offers more than just games though. Every Tuesday they bring a new bundle of games, while Thursday (I "think) a new bundle of books. They very often have books from the Black Library giving you a ton of Warhammer books. Sometimes it's standard E-books, other times it's audiobooks. A few times a year they do bundles for graphic design, a typical bundle would include programs like Paintshop Pro Corel Painter etc, They usually go for £0.76 for tier 1 up to around £18 for tier 3, which would include 4-6 full titles with 10+ addons. They also often have Music making bundles or video editing software as well as Programming or video game development. The bundles change often, they usually have around 11 bundles at a time that last for 20 days. Sometimes it's trash but they do often have some very good deals. Fanatical offers the same as humble bundle except usually not as high quality, but sometimes they do have some incredible deals, and they are very very cheap. Both humble and fanatical are safe, trusted and been around a long time, and they are NOT grey market key sites. They work with the publishers and developers. You can buy games both old and new for a lot cheaper than you would most other places. Unless it states otherwise, keys are usually for steam. **BOTH HB and Fanatical (HB much more common) offer free games fairly often. The catch is linking your steam account to them (at least HB). It is safe however. IndieGala is another site like above. Except, these are much much lower quality. However, they offer a metric ton of free games. Quality is low but it is legitimate, and a lot of free stuff. Game Store Fronts
Steam This one is so obvious I didn't add it, but apparently many want me to. It is the best out there, and you can find almost everything, with fantastic deals.
Greenmangaming offers games cheaply. Again, not a grey market site (which are legal but unethical) and they sometimes do bundles.
GoG (Good old games) is a DRM free site run by CDPR, the makers of the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk. They offer you games quite cheap and not needing DRM (such as Steam, Uplay etc which is less invasive versions of dodgy DRM from the olden days).
Epic Games Despite the controversy whether you care about their rivalry with valve, they offer free games ever week. Without ever having bought anything I have gained over 170 games. literally. Good games for the most part. They often give you £10 coupons as well.
Twitch Everyone knows twitch, but if you don't, it's a streaming service for watching gamers and girls with low cut tops accidentally bending over in front of the game. However, if you're signed up to prime, you get free games each month (and randomly between the set bunch).
Playstation Store Currently has January sales. Currently the free games for PS+ are for PS4: Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Greedfall. For the Ps5 it is Maneater
Games with GoldBleed 2 and the King of Fighters XIII is available until Janurary 15th whilst little Nightmares is available until January 31st.
Gaming Subscriptions Like the TV versions, you can sign up to these for a free trial (or very cheap). If you do sign up to only one at a time, it should keep you busy for a few months
Xbox Game Pass You can do this on both/either an Xbox or PC. If you sign up to the regular one, you can get a month (maybe three!) for £1. After you have done that, you can sign up to the premium version for 3 months at £1 a month. Most people know game pass, but you can download a large selection of games for free. The premium version gives you games with gold, allowing you to keep the games forever (but can only play with a subscription)
Ubisoft+ I'm not 100% sure if you get a trial or not. This allows a large collection of Ubisoft titles to play for £12.99 a month. Quite expensive but good if you like Ubisoft titles I guess.
EA Play EA's version. Goes by a ton of names I think, EA Access, EA Play, Origin Access etc etc. There's a couple of versions of this, and it is across all platforms (PS4/5, Xbox, PC) but not sure about the switch. I "think" the premium allows you to play on all platforms, while the cheaper one on a single platform, but I may be mistaken.
PS Now a once terrible service that is now actually very good. Allows you to download some Ps4 games to your PS4/5 and lets you stream a massive amount of Ps2/3/4 to your PC or playstation.
There's more like nvidia's service but you need the Shield device which is quite expensive. I'll leave it at that. Audiobooks & Ebooks
Audible Not sure what the current deal is but if you are a prime member you can sign up for a trial and get a free Audiobook each month for 3 months. Some warhammer books are 48 hours long, 3 of those gives you a good 100+ hours of listening!
Comixology Another Amazon company, but lets you download some free comics I believe.

Now, these sorts of sites have been around for years, I haven't used any other than talkInsights which I must have signed up to 10-15 years ago. Basically they send you surveys and you answer them. They are confidential and don't ask for personal details in the survey. You need 2000 points and you get £20. During the pandemic they've slowed down but I probably get around £40 a year. Not much I know, but it's an email followed by a quick survey ticking boxes. Depending on your answer sometimes you get screened out, I'm not telling you to lie but just be consistent with your answers and you should be able to work out how to not get screened. Some emails are only worth 20 points, others 200. It's slow to get to the 2000 but very quick to just answer a few questions.
Apparently beermoneyuk is a good sub to make some pocket change with.
There is also matched betting. I have never done this, I don't have the patience but from what I've read, it's legitimate, it works and you can make a fair amount of cash from it so long as you do it correctly, and there's a ton of guides. I mention this because people stuck at home could get into it and as long as you're careful (I.E not entering in the wrong numbers) it's risk free AND it pisses off the betting shops. It seems people in comments have had success with it. Disclaimer A couple have complained about gambling. This arguably is not gambling. If you are susceptible to addiction do not do it. However, it's argued that there is no fun or buzz in this, and it's a very tedious and time consuming thing. Others argue you can't make the same money anymore (People were making thousands, now only hundreds if that). It's risk free providing you know what you're doing, the risks are user error, such as entering the wrong numbers. Someone pointed out that due to the lockdown, bets could potentially be cancelled due to sport stopping. So use on a side of caution. We're (mainly) adults so I'll leave it up just because this doesn't have the excitement of regular gambling.
Microsoft Rewards This is an easy way to make pocket change doing very little. Most people have a MS account. The rewards program offers you numerous ways to grab points, by playing free to play games, answering small questions (you don't even need to answer most of the time, just open the link and shut it) and by using bing and searching on it. I've gotten 20k points JUST by answering questions over a couple months. There are many rewards but you can grab a £5 gift card for 6k for example, or a month of game pass (and AFAIK you can make points playing the games)
Google rewards Someone mentioned this in the comments. I have not used it, so can not give any input on it. Sounds similar to TalkInsights which I linked. Google states "Complete short surveys while standing in line, or waiting for a subway. Get rewarded with Google Play or PayPal credit for each one you complete. Topics include everything from opinion polls, to hotel reviews, to merchant satisfaction surveys. We’ll notify you when a survey is waiting."

Board & Tabletop games Corporal_Anaesthetic has made a list of Board games ilyemco suggested these HEALTH I'm not a doctor! But if you're a smoker, something I strongly suggest is to quit. I struggled for years but in the first lockdown I quit, technically. I haven't had a cigarette since, however, I do that silly thing millennials do. I vape, but, it made quitting extremely easy. I would not have been able to do it if it wasn't for 88Vape They sell extremely cheap liquids at £1 each. You can find these in B&M but you can pick up 25 for £20 or buy your own mix. Vitamin D deficiency has been said to be a big problem for the virus. I'd suggest (again, not a doctor!) that you pick some up. Tesco do a 3 for 2 deal. So you can pick up 270 tablets for £7. If you are vulnerable you MIGHT be able to phone tesco and get put on their delivery saver list (currently it's paused but phoning may help. At the very least they might give you a priority slot. I did this for my mum, we didn't shop at Tesco but I phoned for her, and they put her on with no hassle, so she can always get a delivery. HELP & ADVICE The lockdown Rules. Reasons to leave home include:
Work or volunteering where it is "unreasonable" to work from home. This includes work in someone else's home, such as that carried out by social workers, nannies, cleaners and tradespeople

Krita Arguably the best in my opinion. It has a load of options, brushes and a decent UI. It works fantastic with a tablet.
Gimp This is a decent program but last I used, the UI was a pain, and it isn't so user friendly while misses features, but it works, and it is possible to do some incredible creations on it.
Medibang Paint This is slightly geared towards Comics and Manga. I really enjoy using this with my drawing Tablet. As far as I know, it also for regular tablets for Android/Ipad and is free.
You can pick up a drawing tablet on Amazon quite cheap these days! Small ones that are just a black slate such as the wacom ones are good but takes some practice to get use to, but very worth it if you can't afford a dedicated drawing tablet with a screen. Office suit software A couple of free applications for word processing, spreadsheets etc.
LibreOfficeThis has most the average user would need to write their own books or to work from home. There's not a huge amount of difference between the two I'm linking (since I last used anyway) so it's more for preference.
Open Office You can pick this up here and again, like above it's just preference.

Big picture
1.1 Macroeconomic View
I will be brief here, I think everyone knows what’s up basically. Figure 1: although the USD is worth a lot less, the S&P 500 is doing alright. Thanks Jerome. Enthusiasm is the key word here as we are in an environment with a very accommodative monetary and fiscal policy (thanks for the stimulus checks). Equities and Bitcoin hit record highs thanks to positive vaccine news and the markets hope for a fiscal package. The Federal Reserve is going heavy on asset purchases, bailouts and loans. And its balance sheet is expanding as well as money supply. Interest rates are extremely low. Check for example, the Shiller PE ratio to see the enthusiasm driving the markets. On a macro-level side from the risks related to the pandemic, the only worrying signs would be the shrinking money velocity or a suddenly-rising inflation (hyperinflation is bullish for stocks but not for the real economy). That being said, we know how the FED and the government reacted to support the economy and the markets. Low interest rates and weak US dollar which is continuing to depreciate is very bullish for stocks overall. I keep the macroeconomic view very short for that GME correlation with the S&P 500 is low - about 28% over the last 6 months. Moreover despite GME’s heavy reliance on brick-and-mortar stores, GME continues to get closer to profitability even with the pandemic. If the pandemic would make the stock market to crash again during the trade, I wouldn't sell at a loss but wait a few days and then buy a LEAPS. This is my plan. Don't follow it, just make sure you have a plan in case it happens, it's important to avoid buying too much the first dip (because you might get a better price later) or worse, avoid a panic-selling and take a loss instead of tendies.
In years 3 and 4 combined, if just 5 million customers extend the subscription for two years, GameStop makes $180 million in incremental profit with zero cost involved. 2.2 Business Model and Management
Gamestop is omnichanneling into online activities according to Ryan Cohen recommendations although it doesn’t mean they will execute it perfectly this is bullish.
“GameStop needs to evolve into a technology company that delights gamers and delivers exceptional digital experiences – not remain a video game retailer that overprioritizes its brick-and-mortar footprint and stumbles around the online ecosystem.” Ryan Cohen.
The company attributes the losses this quarter to the end of the console cycle and the limited hardware and accessory availability that came with that, as well as various game delays, and an 11% reduction in its store base - partially offset by recaptured sales at other locations and online. → The company should be profitable very soondespite being priced for bankruptcy for a long time → Expectations are incrediblly low until recently, more investors are believing in the vision esp. with Ryan Cohen.
GME e-commerce sales were up 257% year-over-year.
GME reduced its selling, general, and administrative expenses by $115 million.
GME repaid $10 million in debt in Q3 2020.
GME isdiversifying sales to include more high margin itemslike PC accessories, PC monitors, etc (If I speculate, there may be partnerships with certain brands).

As of Feb. 2020, GameStop had 5,509 physical stores.
GME is closing unprofitable locations: they are closing 1,000 stores in Q1 2021 (by the end of March of 2021).
I’d like to quote a fellow GME gang member on this: It's no secret that brick and mortar is falling off, and if GameStop were to fight tooth and nail to remain a largely brick and mortar retailer they would go bankrupt in no time. It is also a fact that underperforming stores drain cash, which lowers net income and thus lowers earnings per share. Any store that is LOSING MONEY or is barely breaking even is keeping the stock price down because it's preventing future growth and killing net incomes. Closing underperforming stores will lead to a higher EPS and more cash that can be allocated to growth. - horny131313.
Gamestop is rebranding, and shifting to becoming the one stop video game and video game related product online retailer. While we haven't seen exactly what this will be, it is bullish to see them pivoting into other products besides just video games. Headsets, TVS, PC parts, you name it. You've seen the omnichannel memes, but we know that If they are bullshitting, Cohen will step in. Expect to see real progress made.

OG printer Yellen manning the treasury in a month + possible dem senate = more stimmy checks = more money going into GME
If sales improve and balance sheets continue improve, we might see more credit upgrades
Better sales = possible dividend reinstatement, I couldn't care less about dividends but guess who's going to be paying? The shorts lol. If Sherman had balls, he would pull an OSTK and announce a special dividend , which will actually lead to a short squeeze while wsb laughs collectively as we get meme returns from this boomer move.
2.3 The Short-Squeeze Thesis
Figure 6: Stare statistics from Oct. 2019 to Nov. 2020 In terms of metrics, the DTC (days-to-cover) actually decreases, lowering the probability to get a short-squeeze short-term. Don’t get me wrong, this DOESN’T mean that it can’t happen, the % of shares shorted is still crazy high. Days to cover: It gives investors an idea of potential future buying pressure. In the event of a rally in the stock, short sellers must buy back shares on the open market to close out their positions. Understandably, they will seek to purchase the shares back for the lowest price possible, and this urgency to get out of their positions could translate into sharp moves higher. The longer the buyback process takes, as referenced by the 'days to cover' metric, the longer the price rally may continue based solely on the need of short sellers to close their positions. Additionally, a high 'days to cover' ratio can often signal a potential short squeeze. This information can benefit a trader looking to make a quick profit by buying that company's shares ahead of the anticipated event actually coming to fruition. (Investopedia). In terms of corporate actions, here is a quote from September mentioning the hostile takeover from Ryan which would trigger a massive short-squeeze, here is the explanation: Short Squeeze Potential -If Ryan Cohen successfully negotiates a purchase price with the Board then the shareholders will have to vote on it. Unlike the proxy battle where Hestia and Permit were running a minority slate of directors, an offer to purchase GameStop would force institutions like Vanguard and Blackrock to call in their shares. By doing so, the shorts would be forced to close out their positions and GameStop would finally have the greatest short squeeze of all-time. Ironically, Cohen could use this opportunity to sell all of his shares and use the proceeds to entirely fund the acquisition of GameStop going down as the first person in history to acquire a billion dollar company... for absolutely nothing. In fact, his acquisition price would be less than zero. It will be exciting to see how it all plays out as according to Bloomberg/WSJ there are now 58 million shares short as of 8/31/2020 with only 65 million shares outstanding. Unwind their short position with some behind closed doors deal. A scenario like this could include: Melvin offering shares of other stocks at discounted prices in exchange for GME shares or to unload a portion of their short shares. The second party to this deal could also offer to buy GME shares for higher than market prices - horny131313
Melvin and BoA both have short positions, and are desperately trying to drive the price down. Unfortunately, it is getting harder and harder to convince people that gamestop is a failing business. They are sweating and will continue to sweat. Given the buy side volume, they could close these short positions gradually without triggering a massive squeeze, however it WILL drive the price up significantly higher than it is now. - horny131313.
2.5 What 2020 Has Taught Us?
I think at this point it is the wrong question to ask (is the stock being manipulated?). To me, the most important thing is what is the upside potential and the risks associated? Then, how to trade GME?

Whether the stock is manipulated or not, MOST of the 2020 trading days were negative.
The worst daily returns were hard to handle honestly we are talking multiple worst than 14% daily drawdowns.
You could more than triple your money WITHOUT LEVERAGE.
Let’s say you bought late Apr. and sold late Aug. you could have been at -13% returns and +31% the next week if you had diamond hands. For the real diamond hands you had +147% returns the next 2 months.
Psychologically this was a hard trade for sure. But for those who had diamond hands, it was pretty amazing. If you don’t feel comfortable being at -20% or even -30% returns for months before the stock literally BLOWS UP… Reduce your position and diamond hand with a smaller size. Better to win with less than lose with a lot… TLTR: DIAMOND-HAND THIS OR DON’T TRADE THIS AT ALL.

Moody's Upgrades GameStop's credit rating a second time in a row
Hoping for a PR soon confirming the recent redemption of the 2021 notes. Potential credit upgrade from Moodys could come now that GME has officially redeemed 63% of their 2021 notes. If we don't get that now, we should get it in March when the entirety of the 2021 notes are retired. 3.2 Downside Risks
New short sellers open a position and current ones scale up theirs.
Momentum towards profitability dies out and the company goes bankrupt.
Honestly if you read this far you know this is extremely unlikely.
It is very unlikely for the shorts to continue to short the company especially when its credit rating is being upgraded - we will see if it keeps getting upgraded or not in March.
If the shorts get to short it more (or new short sellers open a position) it will:
Drive the stock price down (lower market cap), drive the short ratio higher making the unwinding of the short sellers even harder and as a result making the probability to have a short-squeeze VERY BIG if good events happen moving forward.
Push Ryan Cohen to accelerate its plans.

4.1 Prices Targets
Here is a summary of my post: When the short % of free float went from a high point (~160%) at around February 2020 to a low point (~140%) - which by the way are in absolute terms both huge numbers- the stock went up ~94% BUT most of the gain took place at 2 key moments: at the recovery of the market crash and then in late August which shows that 💎🙌-ing is key to capture most of the gains. Q) If I buy on Rockstar Launcher, can I play with friends on Steam?
Yes, you can play with friends on PC regardless of what store they bought it from. Even Steam GTA, uses Rockstar to launch the game.
Q) Can we transfer our characters from PS4 and Xbox One to PC?
No, you cannot transfer characters to a different platform, e.g Xbox to PC. The game is cross-gen however, so if you play PS4 you can continue on PS5.
Q) If I buy a next-gen console, can I play with friends on old-gen consoles?
Yes! The game is backwards compatible on console, so you can play with friends on PS4/PS5 or XB1/XBX
Q) If I already own Red Dead Redemption 2, do I need to buy Red Dead Online again when it goes standalone?
No! Red Dead Online is still part of the RDR2 game.
Red Dead Online: General Questions
Q) What are the currencies in Red Dead Online?
Cash, the main currency in RDO that is earned through almost every activity. Gold Bars, the premium currency in RDO that can be purchased using real money. You earn a small amount of gold for completing activities online. Role Tokens, earned by levelling up in each role, used to unlock abilities & items for the five current roles.
Q) What is the Outlaw pass?
The Outlaw Pass is an in-game purchase using the premium Gold currency that allows you to earn items/rewards as you level up. Outlaw Pass are only available for a limited time and once they finish, you can't access them again.
Q) What are Daily Challenges?
Every day at 6am UTC, you are given a new list of 7 daily challenges as well as 15 role daily challenges. They can range from hunting specific animals or finding certain herbs, to completing PVP/Freeroam events. Initially, you earn 0.1 Gold per completed challenge plus a bonus if you complete all 7 regular challenges. After completing at least 1 challenge per day for 7 days, you then earn a little more gold per challenge each week before your daily challenge streak resets after 28 days. Your daily challenge streak will then reset, and you start the process again. In addition to this, there are also 3 daily challenges for each role available and you can do a max of 9 role daily challenges. Daily challenges for roles will also differ depending on your rank within each role.
Q) What are Free-roam events (role/normal)
Every 45 minutes, you'll receive an invite to a free-roam event. Free-roam events can be activities such as fishing, horse racing, archery competitions, or PVP. You earn XP + cash for completing. There are also role specific events that happen every 90 minutes, you need to be ranked up and enrolled in each role before you'll see invites for these activities. Q) What are ability cards?
Abilities in Red Dead Online are assigned to a character through Ability Cards. These are divided into two different types. Dead Eye cards that grant abilities only active during Dead Eye, while Passive cards add abilities that are always active, no matter what you do. Passive abilities are further divided into several different categories. In Red Dead Online, it's not possible to assign all of the available abilities to the character, as there are only 4 slots available. One slot is used for a single Dead Eye card, while the remaining three slots are used for Passive abilities. Source.
Q) What are the playing styles online?
Defensive: Players in Defensive mode will be indicated by a shield icon, will take reduced damage from enemy players, cannot be lassoed, melee attacked, executed or targeted with auto-aim. Defensive players will also be excluded from being targeted in PvP-related missions such as Player Assassination. Those who attack Defensive players receive hefty penalties via the Hostility system, while players who initiate conflict while in Defensive mode will be instantly pulled out of Defensive mode and also receive similar Hostility penalties. Offensive: The Offensive playing style is set as the default and is how most players traditionally interact in Free Roam – free to engage in hostile contact with other players if you are prepared to accept the potential consequences.

A small camp is suitable for 1-4 posse members and costs $1 per in game day. A large camp is suitable for 1-7 posse members and costs $2 per in game day.
Q) Where is the gun locker?
You unlock it through the trader role, then purchase it at Wilderness Outfitters in camp, and then it appears at your specific tent in camp.
Q) How do I buy a dog?
At your camp, head to Cripps and access Wilderness Outfitters, from there you can select the dog option.
Q) What can dogs be used for?
Looking cool at your camp and warning you of camp raids when you unlock the perk. Not really much else. (They're not companions like Dogmeat from Fallout 4)
Q) I saw an item, but can't find it on PC or Xbox One.
Some items are exclusive to PS4, so you may see things promoted by Rockstar that aren't yet available on your platform or it may be from an old Outlaw Pass.
Get started as a Bounty Hunter when you meet the Legendary Bounty Hunter in Rhodes and purchase the Bounty Hunter License. The standard cost is 15 Gold Bars. Licensed Bounty Hunters can pick up work by visiting bounty boards located near law offices, post offices and train stations across the states. There is no shortage of criminals to be dealt with and the targets range in difficulty, from lone low-level petty thieves to notorious outlaws with armed protection details and a watchful eye. Taking on an armed gang or bringing multiple targets to justice is made easier with the help of a Posse, who will all earn a cut of the final bounty. And keep in mind, bringing in targets alive will yield a greater reward. Reaching Bounty Hunter Rank 12 will open up the opportunity to take down other players with high bounties of $20 or more. Bounty Hunters will be notified through an invite about the opportunity to hunt down the wanted player when they’re nearby in a structured pursuit. The wanted player must escape (or surrender) within the allotted time and if captured, they’ll also have opportunities to escape and flee. If the Bounty Hunter brings the target in alive, they’ll receive an award while the criminal serves time.
Q) What are legendary bounties?
Legendary bounties are high-tier bounties, they usually involve a mini-story/cut scene. They're also much tougher than a regular bounty. There are 10 legendary bounties that can be access as part of the Bounty Hunter role and 3 that can be accessed (when they've all released) by purchasing the Prestigious Bounty Hunter upgrade.

Once you agree to help Cripps, you can start turning your camp into a business by sourcing items for Cripps to convert into sellable goods. An investment of 15 Gold Bars to purchase a Butcher’s Table will get your business up and running. Once you’re operational, you’ll provide Cripps with Materials through hunting animals – pristine pelts and carcasses will provide better yields. You’ll also take on Resupply Missions to acquire additional necessities through less than savory tactics. Once supplied, Cripps will begin turning the materials into sellable goods, which can then be sent out on low-risk local deliveries for payment or across greater distances for a premium. Improve your hunting yields with a Hunting Wagon for larger hauls or upgrade your Delivery Wagons for larger sales. As business flourishes and your presence becomes known in the market, your competition may grow jealous of your success, so keep an eye out for raids on your camp. As your trade grows, you might consider purchasing a camp dog from Wilderness Outfitters. Not only are dogs great camp companions for all players, but a Trader of sufficient rank can teach their dog to warn of incoming attacks.
Q) Can I skip the medium wagon?
No, you need to buy the medium wagon, then the large wagon.
Q) What can I sell to Cripps?
You can sell carcasses & small animals (e.g squirrels). Along with some animal parts, e.g feathers. Cripps does not accept meat, fish or skinned carcasses.
Q) How long does it take Cripps to make goods after resupplying?
Cripps requires materials and supplies to produce goods. You give him materials by donating carcasses and pelts. He uses two units of materials to produce one good. You either buy supplies or obtain them through resupply missions. Either way, that gives enough supplies to produce 25 goods. As long as both materials and supplies are available, Cripps produces 1 good every 2 minutes (1 in-game hour).

Seek out the mysterious travelling saleswoman Madam Nazar to acquire the Collector’s Bag and get started on the path of the Collector. It will cost 15 Gold Bars for access to collecting and selling rare items. With Madam Nazar’s help, you will be able to explore the world finding valuable treasures, whether they’re discarded Tarot cards in abandoned camps, buried treasures unearthed with your trusty shovel, hidden family heirlooms and more. Collect individual pieces and sell them off directly to Madam Nazar or collect entire sets for even more valuable sales. As you progress, you’ll unlock enhanced searching skills; more useful tools like a metal detector; benefits like increased carrying capacities; the ability for your horse to directly pluck and pass herbs to you while mounted, and more.
